Fancy Flowers for the Holidays

If snowmen and Santa Claus aren't your tastes, perhaps Poinsettias are just the thing to tickle your fancy! Traditional red and green blossoms made from royal icing sit atop a smooth fondant finish. For this party, the bottom tier was an almond poppyseed cake with cream cheese filling, and the smaller top tier was lemon cake with a poppyseed lemon curd filling.

All you need is a square cake and a reason to celebrate ;) The basic fondant present is simplicity itself with a few ribbon curls and a beaded buttercream border, but that's just the beginning!
